Privacy policy
Last updated 30 October 2026
Tickmark ("we") runs Tickmark at https://157.180.33.72.sslip.io. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. In short: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waiting list, sign up for alerts or create an account, with the companies and investors you choose to follow and the date you signed up.
- Payment details, if you buy a plan. These go straight to our payment provider; we only receive your plan, its status and the last digits and expiry of your card.
- Questions you ask in "Ask about a filing", with the answers, so we can show them again and improve the feature. Don't include personal information in them.
- Visit counts. We count page views with a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies and does not identify you (it records pages, referring site, country and device type in aggregate).
- Server logs: our host records requests, including IP addresses, for security and to fix errors. They are kept for a short time.
Cookies
We use only cookies that make the site work: your watchlist, the investors you follow, when you last opened a company (to show what's new), and your sign-in, if you have an account. The watchlist cookies stay in your browser and are not linked to you on our side. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
Why we use it
- to run the Service and the features you asked for (alerts, account, payments);
- to send you emails you signed up for, which you can stop at any time with the link in each email;
- to keep the Service secure, fix errors and understand which pages are used.
Where the law asks for a legal basis: performing our agreement with you, your consent (waiting list, alerts), and our legitimate interest in running and securing the Service.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers that handle data only on our instructions: hosting (Railway), email delivery (Resend), visit counts (Umami or Plausible), payments (Stripe), backups (S3-compatible cloud storage), and Anthropic, which answers "Ask about a filing" questions (your question and the filing text are sent to it). Some of them are in the United States; where needed, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we share it with others only if the law requires.
How long we keep it
Account and alert data as long as you use them, and up to 30 days after you ask us to delete it (backups roll off within 12 months). Payment records as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can delete your account yourself, from the bottom of the Account page: that removes your sign-in, API key, email alerts and theses at once (backups roll off as above). You can also ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by writing to the contact form. Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, the Israeli Privacy Protection Law or California law) you may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Tickmark is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a significant way we will say so on the site or by email before it takes effect.
